This unique zoom delivers results comparable to fixed focal lengths ranging from 15 to 30 mm, it ensures a maximum and homogeneous sharpness on all the surface of the image, an unprecedented achievement obtained thanks to the development of a lens XGM (eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical) that effectively eliminates chromatic aberrations and improves sharpness.

The SP 15-30mm F / 2.8mm is also the first zoom that combines such a focal range with a fast aperture F / 2.8 and an image stabilizer (VC). If we add to this technological combination, the fluoride coating of the front lens, we obtain a unique optics at the service of quality and performance.

Front lens with fluoride coating

Tamron has developed a fluoride coating on the front lens that makes it easy to remove traces of liquids or solids (see diagram). This innovative protection compensates for the absence of a protective filter.

Tamron's Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency (eBAND) coating eliminates tangential reflections while a new generation of Broad-Band Anti-Reflection (BBAR) coating has been created for wide-angle field angles.
