The microphone has an omnidirectional directional characteristic. This means that sounds from all directions of the microphone are recorded. The 76dB signal-to-noise ratio ensures that a lot of noise in the recording is filtered out. In addition, you can use the included windscreen so that unwanted noise such as wind is not recorded. A 6 meter cable is attached to the microphone, allowing you to record from a greater distance from your device. The 3.5 mm TRS to Lightning adapter cable (Apple MFi certified) allows you to connect the microphone to the Lightning port of your iOS device. This adapter makes BY-M2 versatile, as it allows you to connect other microphones and accessories with TRS output to your iOS device (e.g. BY-RX8 and BY-MM1).

Power is automatically supplied when you connect the microphone to an iOS device. That means you don't need batteries. You can take everything with you safely and easily in the included storage pouch.

You can use the BY-M2 with all applications that normally use the internal microphone of your iPhone or iPad. Think of the standard camera app or the Dictaphone app. To use the microphone, place the windshield on the microphone and attach it to your clothes with the clip. Then attach the clip-on microphone to the Lightning adapter. Finally, plug the adapter into your iOS device and start the desired application to capture your recording.
