A high resolution and a very nice bokeh

Every aspect of the 70-200mm f / 2.8 G2 SP has been enhanced, delivering a higher image quality and significantly higher bokeh. The optical construction consists of XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) and LD (Low Dispersion) lenses to eliminate chromatic aberrations over the entire focal range, ensuring optimal resolution to the edges of the image.

The specially designed eBAND coating for this new lens offers better anti-reflective properties and minimizes the effects of flares and ghosting.

Finally, the bokeh has been reworked to create beautiful background blurs in all circumstances.

 
Minimal focus reduced to 0.95 m

The improvements of the new SP 70-200 mm G2 extend into the interior of the summer. Tamron has reduced the 1.3m minimum focus distance from the older version to 0.95m, allowing a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 6.1

Precision in action

The USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) autofocus engine, along with two new high performance firmware, provide even better focus speed and accuracy.

The continuous manual focus system allows precise adjustments while using AF mode without having to switch to MF mode.

Even more stable: win 5 stops

The VC Image Stabilization System achieves the highest level of stabilization in its class *, providing a stabilization equivalent to 5 stops ** according to the CIPA standard (in VC 3 mode).

This lens also offers 3 modes of stabilization, including a mode specially dedicated to the photo in yarn. Now you can adapt the VC stabilizer to your shooting conditions and enjoy hand-held precision even in low light.
