Extended connectivity

Two XLR/TRS sockets and a 3.5 mm stereo miniprise are provided for entries. XLR/TRS can be configured on audio input (line), microphone input or microphone input with 48 V ghost power.

Flexible installation

Everything has been designed to provide maximum flexibility in the event of use with camera chassis and professional rigs. Audio extensions are provided to adjust the location of the XLR adapter on the RIG.

Cable -free connection

Just fix the XLR adapter on the accessory holder of a compatible camera to power it directly and connect the sound, eliminating the need for cable and battery. The Sony's accessories clamp allows you to connect and control a variety of accessories intelligently, to enjoy optimal flexibility and mobility during filming with the α models.

Removal of mechanical noise

Advanced anti-shock and anti-vibration design effectively reduces low frequencies manipulation noises likely to harm audio quality. The possibility of connecting the microphone to the camera without cables also limits handling noises altering your capture.

Complete control

The high control level during recording facilitates the post-production workflow. A control of the recording mode (auto/manual), a link for each mode (input 1-input 2), an attenuator and a low-low-low filter (100/300 Hz) are included.

Superdirectional micro-canon included

A superdirectional monaural microphone (ECM-XM1) and an anti-winding cap to reduce the sound of the wind are provided.
