The CRANE 3S-E has a tilted and ergonomic handle that offers two-handed operation for optimal stability. The handle lets you seamlessly switch to suspended mode, whether with one or two hands, and get creative photos such as 330 ° shots when you get close to a subject. It also has many advanced features such as the remote control for recording / stopping / shutting the camera using the included cables, an improved zoom and focus system from its predecessor, the CRANE 3 LAB, and compatibility with the Transmount image transmission system available separately for wireless video transmission.

The 3S-E has two options for the detachable angled handle. Included is the EasySling which provides a simple and comfortable handle without controls, and the optional SmartSling offers an ergonomic handle with a joystick and integrated control buttons. All the controls you need are provided handy at the top of the main handle. Zhiyun's free iOS / Android app offers many of the same control functions as well as special features such as panorama, focus time-lapse, motion time-lapse, long exposure time-lapse, settings camera, etc.

You can power the 3S-E using the three included batteries for up to 12 hours. However, if you need more shooting time, a DC port allows you to connect an optional battery like the Transmount PowerPlus which contains six 18650 batteries, extending your shooting time up to 18 hours. The CRANE 3S-E can be controlled using the ViaTouch 2.0 iOS or Android smartphone application updated via Bluetooth 5.0 for remote movement control and to manage gimbal parameters.

Nine accessory mounting threads are available around the stabilizer to add a variety of Transmount or third party accessories. Another major feature of the stabilizer is a redesigned axle lock locking system consisting of a separate locking lock on each axle that provides solid locking in place without excessive rocking. This function allows you to lock the individual axes to memorize your equilibrium positions when the cardan is switched off so that you do not have to rebalance for each use.
